May 6 is an important day because around this time a number of systems were migrated from VMware to VMware by Broadcom. This also applies to VMware’s traditional VMware Mylearn Portal.
This post will focused on the new portal, functionality and the new interface.
Before we take a look at the improvements of this new portal, I would also like to inform you that also changes have been made for the VMware education and certifications programs.
See this blog post for the new VMware Certification Program including details like:
- Standardized Exam Fees: To simplify the process, all VCTA, VCP and VCAP exams are now a flat fee of USD $250.00. We believe this will foster greater transparency and consistency for our learners.
- One Voucher, Single Use: As a result of the simplification, there is only one voucher. The 70% discount voucher can be used once for one certification exam. Registration remains the same.
- Certification Manager 2.0: A new and improved version of the Certification Manager Portal is now available, making it easier to manage certifications, access resources, and track progress.

From this interface you have immediate access to useful basic functionality including booking an exam (SSO to Puerson VUE), access to your exam history, access to your certification status and the ability to create and share transcripts.

This new portal essentially offers identical features to its predecessor. Users are able to access their exam records, retrieve exam score reports, and share credentials.
Soon I post updates about the introduction of new training and certification, specifically centered around VMware Cloud Foundation.
