Hi VCF admins,

It took a while but now I can finally confirm that the brand new VCF Deploy, Configure, Manage 5.2 [On-Demand] course is available! For VCF customers these courses are offered free of charge and therefore it can be interesting to follow this on demand course. This specific training could also serve as an additional source of motivation, as it aligns seamlessly with the preparation for the brand new VCF certification VCP-VCF Administrator and VCP-VCF Achitect.

This course is designed to cater to the most recent iteration of VMware Cloud Foundation. It covers a general introduction to VCF, its licensing model, onboarding, a systematic breakdown of the VCF core components, LCM and newly introduced functionalities. As a result, the training appeals to a wide range of participants, accommodating even those engineers with limited hands-on exposure in the field.

Please note that the On-Demand training does not provide access to a live LAB environment. The LAB assignments of this training are presented in a video format.

Course Objectives:

The objectives of this course include planning a deployment for VMware Cloud Foundation, providing a description of VMware Cloud Foundation components and its supporting architecture, explaining the VMware Cloud Foundation licensing model, executing day 0 tasks, onboarding the VMware Cloud Foundation platform, managing user credentials in VMware Cloud Foundation, configuring VMware NSX® networking within VMware Cloud Foundation, deploying and overseeing workload domains, comprehending and implementing storage solutions along with their related policies, conducting maintenance tasks for the VMware Cloud Foundation platform, handling certificates for VMware Cloud Foundation and its connected technologies, overseeing the life cycle for VMware Cloud Foundation, deploying and supervising VMware Aria Suite on VMware Cloud Foundation, understanding the Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA architecture and components, as well as engaging with VMware Cloud Foundation Technical Support services.

Final thoughts:

I am satisfied with the content and structure of this training. The entire VCF portfolio is discussed and I am particularly pleased that implementation, LCM and new functionality are discussed. In the past year I have completed several VCF related trainings and I have just come to the conclusion that by following these trainings I have gained some new insights. I also believe that this can be an excellent preparation for the new VCF certifications. In case your organization is already entitled for VCF training, my advice is to take the time to follow this training. This training is available in a classroom setting if you prefer that option.
