In my previous blog post Free ESXi entry-level hypervisor, we covered how to download ESXi ISO including license. Meanwhile, my personal LAB environment is currently hosting this free Hypervisor, so time for an update!
See my findings below:
Upon launching the vSphere client, I am presented with the option to either agree or decline participation in the VMware Customer Experience program.
The ESXI license
Let’s move to the Licensing section and see how the licensing has been applied and what it looks like in practice .
Automatically applied is an ESXi license that never expires, featuring “up to 8 virtual SMP” as the default setting.
